About Laser Vein Removal

Dr. Sackman has years of experience treating unsightly facial veins, leg veins and "spider veins". When the size of the vein will permit, Dr. Sackman prefers to perform Injection Sclerotherapy to eliminate the veins quite quickly and painlessly.

For "spider veins", which are generally too small to inject, Dr. Sackman uses an Nd:Yag Laser.

Compression Stockings or pantyhose must be worn at all times for a few days after vein removal treatments. Depending upon your lifestyle, and the results of his examination, Dr. Sackman may advise you to wear them longer.

In most cases, one treatment is all that is needed for any small vein removal. Disappearance of the veins is complete at 4 to 6 weeks.

Sun exposure is not advised until the treated veins have disappeared due to the increased potential for "staining" of the skin.
